How to setup A First-Month-Free Plan

How to give your members a free month at the start of the membership.

How to offer a membership where the first month is Free, but then kicks in with a monthly payment a month after joining.

This feature is only available if you are using GoCardless and ClubRight.

So in this example we are setting up a membership plan that is as follows

No Joining Fee

No pro rata

Join today First month Free
Then £35 per month thereafter with a 5 month minimum contract period

How you would normally set up a membership is the same with the exception of the payment schedule which will need to be set up like below

- Pro-rata turned off 

- Collection day set to immedate 

- Top payment line price set to 0. Frequency set to monthly, how many times set to 1 and don't repeat.

- Bottom payment line as the normal collection per month. 

The membership plan schedule for the customer will then look like this in the customer profile.

Makes it really easy to set up a membership plan offer.
